Indian Bridal Wedding Dress of Today

Weeding for any custom or religion is a movement of joy, celebration and happiness. An event that lasts from months to certain weeks is celebrated in all the custom. Exceptions are certainly there which do not advocate the institution of marriage. Across cultures we see different customs and craze that follow a weeding. The first and the foremost that seeks importance during the weeding are the weeding dresses. The weeding dresses are both designed for bride and the groom. Realizing the importance today there are different designer labels that have jumped in the field of wedding dresses as their main line of business. While planning a weeding, one can either refer to designer showrooms or to the local bazaars for the shopping.

Weeding dresses are designed for both the bride and groom; however among the both bride dresses hold a major share and importance. The bride dresses are not only varied in texture and design but also in the range. Comparatively the groom follows certain standard format of dressing and texture. The bride dress during the weeding is eyed the most. And this is the only reason that every bride aims to look the best during a weeding. The texture of a bride dress may range from tussar to silk, may have embroidery of either gold, silver or cooper

Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom Dresses II

There are many wonderful things that you can do for your wedding that will show a beautiful and cohesive sense of coordination within your entire wedding and bridal party. As a bride, you can plan for many aspects of your wedding to match, and look great together. Planning a wedding can be a brilliant way to stretch your creativity, your organization, and your flirty and fun sense of style. With endless options to work with when planning a wedding from dress options to favors and gifts for your bridal party, you are about to embark one an extremely exciting process!

When planning a cohesive wedding it is important to make sure that everything and everyone matches the core primary colors you have chosen for your wedding theme. For most weddings, the bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girl and ring bearer are all taken care of first, ensuring that their dresses and tuxedos are stunning and matching, and that everyone walking down the aisle look great together.

The father of the bride and the father of the groom are most of the time both wearing suits that match those of the groomsmen. Therefore, dressing them is easy! The mother of the bride and groom, however, are going to need to wear something as special as they are. Many brides overlook this opportunity to also have these two very important women also match with their wedding party.

If you are a bride that would like to have as many aspects of your wedding match, a great way to make sure that your day is entirely perfect, and that your pictures are elegant, is to have matching dresses for the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom. This is something that you can accomplish easily, usually with only one shopping trip.

STGCC Day 2 Videos!

I think……I should be about done with all my STGCC Videos. I still have some footages of some pretty awesome cosplayers but time waits for no one and I better buckle up and start on the GCA (Games Comics Convention)’s video editing already.

Haruhi Vs Ryu!

I apologise for the very bad audio quality once again. Video was kindly filmed by Dan (yessss that Alto XD). I had thougths of not uploading this video because I thought I fared pretty badly as a reporter/interviewer. Committed the worse error any interviewer could have committed and that was to go on screen totally unprepared! So…I was pretty much winging it though xD.

Nontheless, our Ryu here did great and I thought its only fair I show his awesomeness to the world.

Jia-Er and Valerie’s Sigma Harmonics!

When I first saw them and asked casually what series they were cosplaying , jia-Er very animatedly started pimping the game while jumping a little. And insisting I should play it because, in her own words “its very nice~!!!” .

To me, that’s the true spirit of Cosplay. To do it because you love the character and series. Not just because the costume looked nice or because you want to garner spotlight for cosplaying a new/prominent character. And definitely not cosplaying just to boost your “Cosplay portfolio”.

Channel News Asia

Just got a message from Kheldar. Seems like some local cosplayer were caught on the Channel news Asia’s Almost Famous programme.

Even though the programme was very Japan centric, apparently for god knows what reason, they used some footages from TGCC (The Games Comics Convention).

image

Ariki and Skye were on it :D!

Ariki and Skye are 2 gorgeous Cosplayers from Singapore. check out their DA to be awed xD. Now…if only I can get my hands on some video footage of the programme……

Review : MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Duo

Got this from swap. Thanks Tracy!

This product is part of the MAC New View Collection which was released last July 2008. Since its Limited Edition (LE) , this product is already discontinued. But I'll review this anyway =P

PRODUCT INFO FROM MAC & SPECKTRA:
Natural and Shimmer. The split personality of powder to sheerly and subtly perfect skin with dimensionality and mineralized starshine. These Mineralize Skinfinish duos are state-of-the-art simplicity, high-resolution finish

The Natural portion of the duo will provide a dimensional yet natural matte-finish, while the shimmer portion will add buffed-up highlights to cheeks and brows, or an overall ultra-deluxe polish to the face. This unique powder contains vitamin A and E derivatives, which help buffer the skin from environmental aggression and jojoba oil, which calms and soothes the skin. This product can be used on face or body and is appropriate for all skin types.

PRICE: $26 or about Php 1,200

WEIGHT : 9 grams or 0.31 US Oz.

SHADES: Available in 5 shades.
Light Medium - Pale golden beige/Warm yellow beige
Medium - Soft creamy beige/Light peachy pink
Medium Dark - Caramel/Light tan
Dark - Deep caramel/Mid-tone yellow gold
Deep Dark - Rich golden bronze/Deep copper bronze

WHAT I LIKE:
* multi-purpose! its a setting powder & highlighter in one compact!
* doesn't change the shade of my foundation
* matte side- offers natural coverage
* doesn't cake even when you retouch several times
* shimmery side - not glittery at all! very fine shimmer
* can be used separately or blended together

WHAT I DON'T LIKE:
* compact doesn't have a mirror
* expensive for a setting powder
* matte side doesn't control oil - to think my face is not that oily
* since this powder is baked, be careful not to drop this!

TIPS:
MAC recommended to use a MAC 189 Face brush in applying this product. See pic above. It looks like a foundation brush made with synthetic bristles that has a flat surface with rounded edges. You can use it for pressed powders or cream products. This was launched together with the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Duo. Retails for $40.

Since I find the 189 brush expensive, I use this brushes:

For the Natural side of the compact, I prefer to use a Kabuki brush from Ecotools to lightly buff the product on my face.

For the shimmery part, I use a fan brush to apply the product on my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose.

Since this is a Setting powder, don't expect it to control oil. You can use MAC Blot Powder to touch up.

ADDICTION FACTOR:
This product is nice, but I wanna try their Mineralized Blushes.

RATING :
4 out of 5!

Cosplay Encyclopedia Video?

If you're thinking "FINALLY! a professional video dedicated to this fabulous, intriguing, complicated and badly misunderstood hobby!" then you're in for a big disappointment.

I vaguely remember watching the original Japanese version online some zillion years ago and finding it totally sleep inducing....even somewhat vomit inducing. OMG, I feel so mean saying these but I swear its nothing but my honest opinion. You can't expect this blog to be all preaches and cream righttttt ?

Can you guess who she is?

It might have been due to the fact that the original video footage was filmed in 1996 which is omfgwtfbbq 13 YEARS ago. More than a decade! Which is more than enough time for fashion trends to come and go and maybe come back again only to be last season still ... if you get what I mean.
A little more hints...................

I mean, just the screencaps was enough to make me cringe in horror with palms over face. All the epic red lipsticks (which was all the rage then I supposed?) and super high waist were icons of that erm...epic period. But the thing that puts me off most was the lack of good hairstyling, wigs and pretty makeup.

She is Barbie, the reknown SailorMoon Cosplayer! remind me to kill anyone who has old cosplay photos of me...

But I guess on the bright side, this video serves as a form of encouragement to continents or people from any continent who feel their own cosplays can't measure up to the Japanese. Cheer Up! give yourself another 13years and you can be epic awesome too XD
